Manchin to oppose Obama's energy nominee - Daily Caller

West Virginia’s coal industry has taken such a hit from environmental regulations that Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin has decided to buck President Obama. Manchin announced Wednesday that he will oppose Ron Binz, the president’s pick to head the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). “Based on Mr. Binz’s record in Colorado, I have grave concerns about how he would regulate our energy sector as the next Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission,” said Manchin in a statement. “Mr. Binz’s actions prove that he prioritizes renewables over reliability.” “His approach of demonizing coal and gas has increased electricity costs for consumers,” the senator added. “I believe Mr. Binz’s record is unacceptable for a FERC Chairman.” Manchin vented his frustrations during a Senate hearing regarding the nominees, grilling Binz over the future of coal. “We’re getting the living crap beaten out of us,” Manchin said during a Senate confirmation...

Gas Utility Seeks to Raise Rate to Offset Hardening of Distribution System - NJ Spotlight

. The Wall Township facility, perhaps the gas utility hardest hit by superstorm Sandy last October, filed the petition with the state Board of Public Utilities yesterday. It is seeking to recover the capital investment costs associated with the program through an annual adjustment to its base rate. What that means to the typical residential customer remains unknown, although rates will not increase this winter, according to Michael Kinney, a spokesman for NJNG. “The impact will vary from year to year depending on the work that is done,’’ Kinney said. The gas utility is the second to file for an increase in rates following Hurricane Sandy. In February, Public Service Electric & Gas filed for a over 10 years to harden its own gas and electric infrastructure. The case has yet to be reviewed by the BPU, but has stirred a bit of controversy among consumer advocates and the AARP. Beyond those upgrades, the state’s seven utilities eventually will...

How do I set the chime on my wall clock?

When setting the time, did you stop at each hour and let it chime? I would stop the clock after it chimes on the hour. The next day or if you can do the same time in the pm,start it up again.

Where can I find the model # on my Regulator wall clock? I want to turn off the chime feature.?

I have a Regulator wall clock that chimes on the hour and half hour. I want to turn off that feature. Need to know how or how to find my model # so I can look it up. It's not electric. It's a battery operated Elgin Quartz with Westminster Chime.

If it is a wind-up, just do not wind the chime spring (usually the right keyhole as you face the clock). If it is electric, there will be a lever accessible from the back - push the lever to...
